The Verein persues only and exclusively directly non-profit purposes as stated in the passage about "tax privileged aims" of the fiscal code. (German law) It is selfless and its aims are primarily non-profit.

The aims of the Verein are:

• Fundraising and support of projects that aid former child soldiers (esp. in the African Great Lake Region)
• Stimulation and encouragement of international exchange, foreign aid and youth welfare
• Direct support of the African youth: payment of school fees, provide clothing and school materials
• Social networking: rehabilitation and re-integration of former child soldieres into the African society
• Dealing with the effects of the war on the people of Uganda and other African nations

The first and foremost aim of the Verein is "help for self-help"
